Awareness program

Under the able guidance of Sh. Ashutosh Baranwal, Principal Commissioner, CGST Commissionerate, Ludhiana, the Assistant Commissioner, CGST South Division, Ludhiana with the cooperation of his officers initiated the work relating to barricading of Shimlapuri Bridge at Sidhwan Canal Ludhiana under the Government of India’s pilot mission “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. Sh. Balwan Singh, Superintendent played a vital role in maintaining a close liaison with the different competent authorities of the state government and local bodies for obtaining requisite permissions/approvals for completion of the above mentioned work.
After completion of the barricading work of the bridge, the same has been dedicated to the “Ludhiana City” by Sh. A.K. Jain, IRS Chief Commissioner (CZ) in the presence of Sh. Ashutosh Baranwal, Principal Commissioner, CGST, Ludhiana, Sh. Nilesh Kumar Gupta, Commissioner, CGST Commissionerate, Jalandhar (Hqrs. at Ludhiana), Sh. Nitin Saini, Commissioner(Appeals), CGST, Ludhiana, Sh. Arvind Madhavan, Addl. Director General, DGGI, Ludhiana and Sh. Alekh Duhan, Assistant Commissioner, CGST South Division, Ludhiana. Sh. A. K. Jain, Chief Commissioner(CZ) and Sh. Ashutosh Baranwal, Principal Commissioner also shared their views regarding importance of keeping our rivers clean and saving the environment for the generations to come. Besides this Sh. Baranwal also aware the audience regarding the tax dispute resolution scheme known as SVLDRS launched by the Govt. of India for the tax payers who have long outstanding govt. dues locked-up in litigation etc.

CGST Commissionerate Ludhiana provided the Happy Seeders/Multcher to the KVK Samrala under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which were distributed to the Farmers of the region through the volunteers/Staff of National College Doraha. A workshop has been organised between the stake holders and the end users to know the output and to give awareness about environmental purification. Mr. Balwan Singh, Superintendent (Hqrs) awared the audience about bad effects of stubble burning and make them understand how they can be helpful in making the environment healthy to become healthy by stopping stubble burning, doing plantation and by not using of chemicals.
